They were evicted by the Video Game room, but don’t worry: the Otaku Swap Meet is still on, on the third floor hall just outside the Fairfax room.
“I think swap meets are a great culture builder,” says the gent in charge of the event, as he unloads stacks of DVDs onto the table. Swaps are a great way to meet people, even if you don’t have anything you want to trade. Some people come looking for out-of-print manga or rare figures. Others just want to hang out. Not everything has to be anime or manga related; there’s a VHS copy of Star Trek: The Motion Picture over here. So if you have some goods you’ve grown tired of, bring them out! Maybe it’s a treasure someone else really wants.
