My Little Brony Paddock
In case you haven’t been on the Internet this year, a brony is a fan of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic who is outside the target demographic of 7-year-old girls.
We crowded into the room, probably breaking a few dozen fire codes, with people standing along the walls and sitting two to a seat. And the best part: everyone there was engaged in the discussion.
The other panels I’ve been to today have featured a (knowledgeable) moderator talking about a subject, and the audience would occasionally submit a point or question. Here, people were encouraged to talk about their favorite ponies and what pulled them to the show. The panel was as open and accepting as the rest of the fandom.
